Kordon 3D Interactive Models
Üç katlı devasa bina, gıda ihracat şirketi Paterson & Co.'ya ait. Bina, gemilere yüklenmeden önce taze ve kuru meyve, tahıl ve şarap depolamak için bir depo olarak kullanılıyordu. 1870'li yıllara ait kartpostallarda, burada bir un fabrikasını işaret eden bir değirmen bacası görülmektedir. Rıhtım inşaatına başlandığında mevcut bina yıkılmış ve yerine iddialı bir depo binası yapılmıştı. İzmir hinterlandında yetişen her türlü yaş ve kuru meyvenin ihracatı için depo ve paketleme tesisi olarak faaliyet gösteren bina, farklı bölgelerden İzmir'e ithal edilen ürünlerin mağazalara ulaşmadan önce merkezi bir depolama alanıydı.
Paterson ailesi, İzmir'in en zengin Levanten ailelerinden biriydi ve İzmir'in her yerinde birçok mülke sahipti. Ünlü Paterson Köşkü şu anda İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi'ne ait ve kültür merkezi olarak kullanılmak üzere restore ediliyor.
The three-story colossal building belongs to the food export company, Paterson & Co. The building was used as a warehouse to store fresh and dried fruits, grains and wine prior to loading on ships. On postcards from the 1870s, a mill chimney can be seen that indicates a flour factory at this spot. By the time the quay construction was launched, the existing building had been demolished and replaced with an ambitious warehouse building. Operating as a warehouse and packaging plant for the export of all sorts of fresh and dried fruits growing in the hinterland of Izmir, the building was a central storage area for products imported to Izmir from different regions before being delivered to shops.
The Paterson family was one of the wealthiest Levantine families of Izmir, and they owned several properties all across Izmir. The famous Paterson Mansion is currently owned by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and is being renovated to be used as a culture center.

İzmirlilerin günümüzde Kordon olarak isimlendirdikleri İzmir rıhtımı, yapıldığı tarihten bu yana İzmir’in en önemli simgesi durumundadır. 1876 yılında tamamlandığında İzmir'in tüm çehresini değiştirmiş, şehrin ticari potansiyelini katlanarak arttırmıştı. İzmir 20. yüzyılın başında Doğu Akdeniz'in en parlak liman kentine dönüşmüştü.
İzmir quay, which the people of İzmir call 'Kordon' today, has been the most important symbol of İzmir since its construction. When it was completed in 1876, it changed the whole face of İzmir and increased the commercial potential of the city exponentially. At the beginning of the 20th century, İzmir had turned into the brightest port city of the Eastern Mediterranean.
